Join me tonight down at The White Hart, Lynchburg newest venue for an evening of music with Andy Zipf. Andy is a great guy and just recently was part of The Great American Road Trip by lending his musical talents for the soundtrack. Cost is just $5 and Andy goes on at 8PM.
This week the guys race the sun along the Blue Ridge Parkway. With stops at Mabry Mill (the most photographed area of the parkway) and the Meadows of Dan (no relation to Dan Portnoy) our travelers come to the end of their journey, culminating with a giant star. But who do they meet along the way?
The guys get to visit the bygone days of Opie, Floyd, Andy and Aunt Bea. This week the road leads the crew to Mt. Airy, NC. Where they take in the sites, sounds and tastes of Mayberry R.F.D.
Riddle: What combines the hip sounds of Les Savy Fav, M83, and Georgie James with the 5 part internet docu-drama The Great American Road Trip?
Give up? It’s Virb.com
They featured the Road Trip last week and I couldn’t be more thrilled. If you haven’t checked out the film yet you can see 3 of the 5 episodes right now with #4 launching tomorrow. Critics are calling it the “Seinfeld of road trips” and “laugh out loud funny” So give it a viewing.. don’t worry we’ll be gentle.
This week we finally hit Durham, NC but we’ve got no idea where we’re going to stay…. Check out the drama as Dan tries to get a hotel room with no money in this Episode of The Great American Road Trip.
