That has to be my favorite line from Jon Busdeckers’ recent article in the News & Advance on The Great American Road Trip. Truthfully Jon was very kind in his description of the project and is able to convey the crazy notion of releasing a film to the web very well.

LYNCHBURG, VA - Episode 1 of The Great American Road Trip will be shown as part of the final installment of the Riverflicks Film Series on September 8, 2007. The film will be a precursor to the night’s feature showing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The event is FREE and concessions are available. The Riverflick Film Series is part of Amazement Square’s work in the community and sponsored by Areva. Riverflick’s outdoor theater is located at the corner of 9th and Jefferson Streets in downtown Lynchburg. Gates opens at 7:00 pm and the film begins at dark.

This is the latest in the line of projects lately. The crew at Starbucks on Timberlake Rd. are aiming at launching the area artists and warrior poets for 2 hours of musicians and spoken word. Contact Skylyn if you’re interested in performing this Sunday Night. (6-8)
