About a week ago I was thinking about Barack Obama’s rise to fame and I wondered what primed the pump of the American people and it came back to Dennis Haysbert. Mr. Haysbert has been many things on screen but I think his standout role (other than the All-State Insurance guy) has to be as the president, David Palmer, on the show 24. It struck me hilarious today when CNN ran a story saying pretty much the same thing about 1:18 in.

Way to go Dennis Haysbert…. Way to change America.
