The guys get to visit the bygone days of Opie, Floyd, Andy and Aunt Bea. This week the road leads the crew to Mt. Airy, NC. Where they take in the sites, sounds and tastes of Mayberry R.F.D.

The Hiatus is back off again! With all the releasing of new shows on TV this week, we thought why not introduce you to the next big thing in this weeks episode by featuring William Fitzsimmons and we couldn’t be happier. In this episode William talks about where the sadness comes from, the artsy part of being a songwriter, and how his wild ride in music is shaping up. This episode features the song, “It’s Not True” from the album Goodnight. Download it today!
Riddle: What combines the hip sounds of Les Savy Fav, M83, and Georgie James with the 5 part internet docu-drama The Great American Road Trip?
Give up? It’s Virb.com
They featured the Road Trip last week and I couldn’t be more thrilled. If you haven’t checked out the film yet you can see 3 of the 5 episodes right now with #4 launching tomorrow. Critics are calling it the “Seinfeld of road trips” and “laugh out loud funny” So give it a viewing.. don’t worry we’ll be gentle.
This week we finally hit Durham, NC but we’ve got no idea where we’re going to stay…. Check out the drama as Dan tries to get a hotel room with no money in this Episode of The Great American Road Trip.

If you’re in the mood to see a guy possibly do something foolish then join me this Sunday Night at 6PM for the Timberlake Starbucks Open Mic Night. I’m told that I’ll be going on somewhere in the 7PM realm. So come get some coffee and watch me bomb. The Open Mic has been going for a month now and already there have been some stand outs so I thought I’d share them.

Rory Tyer
I met Rory just a few weeks ago, I liked the recordings and then I saw him live. He’s really personable and humble, it’s a good combo. Check out “Run Down, Run Through” it’s going to be featured in an upcoming episode of The Great American Road Trip.

Jay Stone
Jay knocked my socks off two weeks ago. I’ve never seen Hip Hop at an open mic and it was nothing short of amazing. Check out his myspace and the track “All The Time”.
Juice
Juice strikes me as a renaissance man. Also a hip hop act, his lyrics of poetry inspire and educate. Listen to this recording of his material, Juice starts about 4 minutes in. He’s got an album coming out Black Friday (November 23rd) and it’ll be in FYE retailers.
