I officially caught the Christmas bug today. The bug was some sort of sickness because I spent the day at home. So as I was surfing the channels there was a huge promo on ABC Family for their “25 Days of Christmas” and it hit. They’re bring the old school Christmas movies like Frosty’s Winter Wonderland and mixing in newer Christmas favorites like Home Alone and Harry Potter. There was so much Christmas Spirit in the house after watching the promo I almost wanted to wait in a line for some hot product and then push and shove people so I can guarantee I get it. Because we’re living in a material world and I’m a material girl.

Next Thursday (12/7) I’ve been asked to teach a seminar on audio and video podcasting by Outthink Group. Check out the details below or download the one sheet.
Lynchburg, VA - In the Podcast genre there are more questions than answers. “Podcast” a term that gets thrown around but there isn’t a lot of understanding beyond that it’s something that you can get with your computer. Since September, Outthink Group has been working with local businesses and entrepreneurs to help them increase their effectiveness by harnessing the power of “new media”. New media is the term used to describe the use of blogs, permission email marketing, search engine optimization, and incorporating audio and video in a digital form.
The purchase of Youtube.com by Google last month for 1.86 Billion raised a few eyebrows and now there are many clammoring for information on how they can be ahead of the curve with this kind of technology. Outthink Groups latest Seminar “Increase Impact with Audio and Video” will be answering these questions as well as giving hands on information to many products both software and hardware that are available for less than $100 or free.
The trainer for this seminar is Dan Portnoy. For the past year he’s been working with several business as a podcast producer and host. Portnoy hosts THE DROP, a high energy, bi-weekly podcast with a focus on music and pop culture. With thousands of downloads monthly the show has featured musical guests like Rogue Wave and Nada Surf and comedians like Paul Scheer from Vh1’s Best Week Ever. In addition to the popular media Portnoy is also co-host with the podcast for the Business Opportunities Weblog (www.business-opportunities.biz) which is the largest business blog on the web with monthly traffic of almost one million.
The seminar will be at Grace Church on Timberlake Road on December 7th at 5:30 and the cost is just $29. You can register online at www.outthinkgroup.com/seminars

This is a great article about the design concepts that went into developing the Wii from Nintendo. As the ridiculous things were happening around the country as thousands waited in line for the Sony’s Playstation 3 the sleeping giant is awakened as America goes crazy in a shopping blitzkrieg of Christmas insanity.
I feel like it’s time since over the last few weeks I’ve had some people comment that are new (glad you’re here!)…
It would make my day (even if you’ve done this before) if you’d leave a little comment with something like the following:
* who are you?
* where are you?
* whaddya do?
Anything else on top of that is icing on the cake!
