Tomorrow (Friday), I’m going down to Roanoke, VA to spend some time with best selling author and networking extraordinaire, Mike Garrison. What’s on tap for the day? I’m so glad you asked. We’ll be visiting a BNI group, which if you’re not familiar with what a BNI group is check it out here. It’s basically a place where entrepreneurs and business owners get to know each other and through those relationships are then able to recommend the business products and services of those in their BNI group to their sphere of influence. I’ve been a part of one for just a few months and it has been a great experience. After the BNI meeting, we’ll be talking about his recent book release, “Truth or Delusion” which he co -wrote with Ivan Mizner (Founder of BNI) and Mike Macedonio (Co-founder of the Referral Institute) The interview will be on a future episode of the Biz -Ops Podcast which is co-hosted with Tim Grahl. Theses 3 authors have a ton of experience and are quickly becoming the foremost authority on networking in the country so spending the morning getting some pointers should be great. I’ll keep you posted.

This weekend I decided to enjoy Season 3 of Scrubs. I really started to enjoy this show this past January mid season and since then I’ve been hooked (see here and here). So, using the Netflix I ordered up the season and spent my evening laughing hysterically and enjoying the recurring jokes and themes of the show. What is it about this show that makes it great? This was the question I kept asking myself throughout the showing. Is it the hilarity and laughing at real world scenarios when it comes to relationships and the workplace? Is it the virtual head nod to, “I had a friend who was just like that”? I’m not sure but I enjoyed every bit of it. The one thing I find incredible is how the show can go from complete insanity (see roof toilet, Karate Midget, and Hair-met) to being downright touching (see Dr. Cox Best friend dies, JD relationship decisions, and the wedding that almost was). If you’re not a fan I’d recommend checking the show out or do the rental option - Tv on DVD is an amazing thing.
