This is a special treat, because at THE DROP we like free stuff. From government cheese to music downloads, FREE is FREE. Lucky for you we’re out of the cheese… so instead we bring a free music download.
I’ve had the chance over the past several weeks to get to know the guys from Circles and Waves. I’ve seen them play and I’ve talked with them at great length. They have a great love of many styles of music and it shows in their music. I thought it would be great to share some of it with you.

I was thinking today about Halloween and I asked myself, “Self, What is the scariest movie we’ve ever seen?” Immediately I think of the classic series, Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th, Halloween, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. (I didn’t forget Childs Play, just not very scary to me) Then I moved to my favorite genre of scary, not so much horror but the thriller; especially the psychological thriller. But since I don’t find most of them scary they didn’t make a top 5 and then it hit me – like Disco Lemonade. In the Fall of 1997 I saw a movie that I’ve tried to block from my mind since then. The film is Event Horizon and I was so freaked out i couldn’t sleep for a week afterward. I’d recommend it if you’re a horror fan. It’s got the gore and the plausible theme (after you get past that whole people living in space and liking it) the wild part is how the whole it unfolds and how they don’t realize there’s a problem til it’s too late.
that’s my scariest… what’s yours?

For the latest episode of The Biz Ops Posdcast you can hear my conversation with Mike Garrison, co-author of Truth Or Delusion: Busting Networkings Biggest Myths. Our talk is from just a few days ago, so it’s super fresh. I found out today that this book is now a bestseller – in just one week! Hitting th NY Times, Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com bestsellers list. A big Congratulations go to Ivan Mizner, Mike Macedonio and Mike Garrison for their achievement.

Make sure you check out Josh Longbrake’s snazzy blog this week. He threw the gauntlet to the internet last week that we should send him a phtot that “describes us” and he would take the submissions and show the world what he received. It’s a really neat thing to see, I’m especially impressed with the international flavor of it. My favorite is Brittany Thompson from Indiana, make sure when you check them out remember.. the night belongs to us.

Check out these neato pictures of these great mini cards I got from moo. Check them out and if you have an account with Flickr, it’s easy to take your photos and have them made into these neat cards. My turnaround was like 10 days an I couldn’t be more thrilled. Here’s a few that they made.
