Leigh Nash

Finally we get a date on when the album comes out (Thanks Megan Healy for hooking a brother up). Here’s everything I know…. about this album, silly. Ms Nash will be releasing her first solo record , “Blue on Blue” thru One Son Records which is her imprint through Nettwerk Productions. I’m really looking forward to this album.. no really. (duh, it’s produced by Pierre Marchand and he produced Sarah Mclachlan and Rufus Wainwright) I’ve had the chance to hear 2 or 3 tracks from the album already and I can’t wait. Watch out Gray’s Anatomy and Scrubs you’ll be taking tracks from this debut soon enough.

If you’re a really big fan or if you want to check out a preview into the album by getting yourself a song then click here for an interview with Leigh Nash. John Gauger and Myself talk about Thanksgiving in Canada, Leighs newest addition to her family and Movement Nashville.

Now that I’ve got all my gear together I’m ready to tell you the big news. Dashboard Confessional releases the “Don’t Wait” Single today. It was just in time because I was starting to feel happy about summer and it’s so much better to think about unrequited love and how she’s gone, etc. Actually I am no hater. I haven’t taken a drink of the perverbial “haterade”. The truth is I celebrate his whole collection. (no really I own it all, except for the Vindicated single, I just couldn’t buy it) So here’s the deal if you buy the Single “Don’t Wait” from iTunes you get an additional song. The freebee is none other than a cover of “Big Country” by Big Country. (which is amazing marketing anytime a band can put their name in a song.. anyone, anyone…. Backstreet’s Back ALRIGHT!!)

So.. for the comments.. name a band that has put their name in a songtitle? (it’s really not that hard)

*Editors Note.. Apparently all my i”insider information” was wrong. In checking iTunes today I found that each single is available for download at a cost of $.99 each*

Sherlock Holmes

In honor of Sir Arthur Conan Doyles Birthday today. I thought I would challenge you to be a detective today.

Possible personal detective options:
Find out where those missing socks have gone.
Track down old high school friends via myspace/friendster/facebook.
Hire a Private Investigator (see if he’ll let you call him Magnum) and have him watch your neighbors.
Find out what other works Arthur Conan Doyle has authored.

Thoughts?? What would you be a detective about?
