Tonight is THE night. If you haven’t signed up already check out the Invisible Children website and be one of the thousands to make your voice heard for the children of Uganda. I hope to see you tonight.

THE STATE is easily one of the top 5 best shows MTV networks has ever put out. (also in the mix is Liquid Television, Subterranean, the original headbangers ball and Pimp My Ride) Check out You Tube for some killer clips including “Louie” and “Superfriends”

Just in Time with the trees getting green and flowers in bloom. Sweden has lovingly given us an import that evokes Burt Bacharach and A Mighty Wind into the same dynamic. The Acid House Kings have taken some familiar elements of Belle and Sebastian type harmonies and combined them with pure daffodils to run thru on a warm summer day. (4/25/06 – Editors note: Due to the recent backlash from certain, non terrestrial radio personalities. I must refrain from using skipping thru the fields of flowers on the website. So from now on I’ve been warned.) If it doesn’t make sense… give a listen it’ll cure the winter blahs.

Let me encourage you to check out a website. Invisible Children.com tells of the plight of northern Uganda. There is a documentary available and showings nationwide. Like so many tales of struggle in life, the story is gripping. I’ve been exposed to several “causes” in my life but this really grabbed me.
I’m not a big activist type but I will tell you that hearing about the unrest in Uganda has bothered me. The story after story from children who have been exposed to ridiculous amounts of violence and loss.
Please join me by signing up for the Global Night Commute and send a message to our government leaders that America needs to care for those who can’t defend themselves. The tough part in all of this is that there is no gain financially or strategically for America. It will take the outcry of Americans telling our government officials to step in a defend the helpless.
