Epsiode 1 Rogue Wave Tobi from XM

Tobi, Dean of Music, XM

Since it’s inception in 2000, satellite radio has been a huge thing in the news. No longer could terrestrial stations hold a candle to the more progressive, commercial free musical gems of the stratosphere. At the front of that revolution is XMU, the “college/new music” station in the XM palette. Featuring downtempo, hip hop, indie, and rock. XMU is easily the best station in the country. Tobi, the woman at the helm and Dean of this Music School, was recently heralded as one of the Top 5 people in music you should know but have never heard of by GQ.

Zach Rogue of Rogue Wave

Their most recent release “Descended Like Vultures” is sheer genius and is such a breath of fresh air for the indie rock world. Dan gets the lowdown on the process of making the new record, the tour thus far and life in general.

So Myspace rules the known interweb, I’m not saying it’s good or bad, but it’s definitely something to notice. From The Daily Shows “I’ve got 9000 friends on Myspace” to all the scary news about freaky guys looking to score with some 14 year old, Myspace is here to stay. So we’ve embraced that. Click the logo to be our friend. Details on the first prize packs will be in the next few days.

Superhero Enterprises

Yesterday marked the launch of 2 NEW sites that I get to be a part of. Superhero Enterprises and THE DROP. Here’s the low down.

THE DROP

Superhero Enterprises is a New parent company in the media/entertainment category. We have a few projects up our sleeves for the very near future but in the mean time our first offering is THE DROP. This weekly entertaining podcast will be available starting 3/19 and features a couple of casual conversations with those in Music, Film, Print, TV who are the movers and shakers in their genre. In addition, it’s people that I have a lot of respect for and I get the opportunity to talk with them about what’s happening in their sphere. What we’re focusing on is more than just a first look or the standard interview. Our aim is to give an opportunity for you to be engaged by these semi off beat conversations to make our guests more accessible. In short, to give you more insight into the lives of those we’re big fans of.

So please check out all that is happening - and believe me it’s a lot. Don’t forget to sign up for the email list, many prize packs await you there.
