I just got the new release from Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins - “Rabbit Fur Coat” Wow… it’s like the female Ryan Adams. Start to finish, a solid effort and I’m not usually into anything with a country flair but this is just plain good. Personal favorites are “Rise Up With Fists!!” (the video is so hokey, in a good way, and the ladies are flawless) and the cover of the Traveling Wilbury’s new classic “Handle With Care” featuring Ben Gibbard assuming the roll of Roy Orbison, the part of Jeff Lynn sung by M. Ward and Conner Oberst ripping thru the Bob Dylan parts. You really need to hear it.
