…the New Pornographers’ new album Twin Cinema is a delight…I recommend it to all…funny story about them…my mother and I were in Athens, GA for a friend’s wedding and there was a Stomp and Stammer (free arts & music publication) out in a coffee shop we were in and I stopped to look at it…my mother comes up to see what I’m doing and I tell her I wanted to grab a copy for Nathan, since he only has the reading attention span for album reviews, I grab these types of publications whenever I can, especially when they’re free!…regardless, the New Pornographers were on the cover and my mother reads it and says, “Oh”, the kind of “Oh” that’s littered with disgust and suprise…I giggled to myself knowing full well she had no idea it was the NAME of the band, not the OCCUPATION of the band…I didn’t clue her in, though…I like to keep her guessing…
